Bio
Occupational Therapist, Author, Educator, Speaker
Hello! I've been practicing occupational therapy and integrating fascia into my clinical reasoning and treatment sessions for over 30 years. I authored a textbook for practitioners and still work with clients regularly. Additionally, I taught OT students in an OTD and POTD program for 18 years. Today, I teach live and online CE for OTPs and other health and wellness practitioners.
This course is designed to strengthen clinical reasoning in the application of fascia-targeting techniques (FTTs) for occupational therapy practitioners. The course focuses on developing a clear, comprehensive approach to decision-making, enabling clinicians to determine when, why, and how to effectively integrate FTTs into practice. Participants will explore the foundational concepts of FTTs, including mechanisms of therapeutic change, technique application, and the rationale for selecting fascia-targeting manual interventions. Emphasis is placed on supporting safe, ethical, and client-centered use of FTTs. The course provides guidance on incorporating FTTs into treatment sessions, including thorough assessment, client positioning, and adapting techniques for unique or complex clinical situations. Learners will examine case examples to support the translation of concepts into real-world application and to build confidence in selecting and applying appropriate interventions for greater clinical effective and improved outcomes.
